N20 timing chain issues

Hi all,

Does anyone have any knowledge of this and if uk cars were affected? I've seen quite a bit on the net of cars in the US having issues. It seems to affect older n20s, 2012/13 onward but more recent 2015 had a better guide which was snapping/splitting.

Mines a 2013 N20 - less than 10k on the clock so hopefully no impact yet...

None that I've seen,generally a good engine apart from a couple that have had worn thrust washers in the crank which leads to whining.

Mines at 73,000 2012 model, going on that you'll be fine !
