not bad, you should have went up to 19's though. would have looked sportier. but 18 would be comfy. hows the weight of the heavier tires?

This wheel set up was actually for the track, just liked the feel and lessened understeer running 255'a on all 4 corners so have been driving around on them

I like it! Car looks good with the ARC-8 wheels. I've been wondering about getting the same wheels in the same size, so thanks for sharing the pictures.
What colour are the wheels btw? |

I ask because i have some 18x8.5 et40s that i want to get snows for and wanted to see if he had to do anything to fit this setup. if not, mine should bolt up no issue.

Thanks, couldn't agree more!
As to the rubbing others have asked about, zero, even at full steering lock. I've been driving on these since I got them a couple of weeks ago and have been checking the inside fenders to make sure. No evidence of even a minimal rub. My fear now is that I won't want to go back to the OE staggered track-package rims once I track this set up at COTA in November! |

PS those center caps on the wheels are not from the OE wheels, those were blue and white and looked lame on these wheels so bought some gray, black and white center caps off an eBay auction...worth the money!

Looks good. You are in a great place to provide us some insight into whether/how lighter wheels feel on the road.
I estimate the savings as follows Front Wheels
Rear Wheels
Do you notice a difference in how the car drives with the lighter wheels? Please elaborate if you can. |

I realize that I've lost about 22lbs of unsprung rotating mass which theoretically equates to about 88lbs of sprung weight, but my butt dyno can't really feel any difference in acceleration. Car is fast as is, so the .1 or .2 sec to 60 I may have gained is beyond what I can "feel". One thing I did notice - and not sure if it was doing this with the stock track package wheels - is that nailing the throttle on the highway at speed with DSC off can get the tail stepping out pretty quick. Had to apply a good measure of opposite lock one time to keep from spinning into a car next to me and wall at about 70, yikes! It may have been like that before, but I'm just now at 2K miles and wasn't pushing the car hard the first 500 when I had the OE wheels on. I will be going back to the TP wheels once I track these next month. Pretty sure the MPSS' will cup and become unbearable to drive from the noise after beating on them at COTA like every other "street performance" tire has done. |
