Tool for removing retaining pins on M-Performance brakes?
Did a test fit of the Padig Yellow's this past weekend (they fit) and was able to get the retaining pins out using a metal punch and tack hammer, but ended up nicking some paint off the calipers around where the pins are inserted.
Anyone know if there's a tool specifically for this to avoid chipping the paint? Will be swapping pads for track days so don't want to end up with the calipers looking abused. A buddy thought there may be a BMW Teflon punch tool just for this that's hard enough to get them popped out, but soft enough to not ding the paint but haven't been able to find anything like that. Anyone have a solution? |

This is what I used. It has sort of a hollow tip so it centers on the guide pins better. |
