Need help rotors replacement

So I'm almost due for a front brake service

But I'm doing a lot of research on rotor sizes etc.

My question is would I be able to put a larger rotor on my car as in would it be just direct bolt on ?

I have a 2012 335i sports line with m sport brakes that are grey (un painted )

and I had 18 inch wheels before

Now I have 20 so I have room for a bigger rotor

I see that there are larger rotors and want to see if I can run a larger rotor

Appreciate the help

No you can't.
Definitelly.
Since these calipers have space only for 340mm rotors.
You have to upgrade calipers to performance 370/380 to be able for retrofit a larger rotor of 370mm .
Hope this helps

Ok thanks I was just getting very confused because all the research I was doing everyone was saying that the blue caliper and the un painted caliper was the exact same thing so I was like ok was the difference ?

Actually is exactly same except from the colour ...
But m sport caliper (blue) and sport caliper (silver/grey) can be fitted only with 340mm rotor...
For bigger rotor you need definitelly only m performance caliper (gold / orange / red)

There are blue calipers for 370/380 rotors as well- supplied as the M-Sport upgrade for 335i, having 370mm blank rotors. The same caliper is used on F80 M3 non-carbonceramic brakes.
Check out the back side- there is always a maximum rotor size stamp.
Gray front and Blue front are absolutely equal in case the Blue are for 340mm.
The difference is with Blue kit there are always Blue 2-piston 345mm rears in the kit, while Grey are combined with 1-piston 330mm rears.
Red/Gold/Orange are Performance ones with slotted+drilled rotors (reported to be noizy) and are 370mm fronts and 345mm rears.
The most convenient is you can use any pad type- 340m, 370mm and 380mm calipers carry the same pad size. My choice is F80 M3 pads.
