I'm going to have to do those! Question about the floor mats... are they pretty water replant? Then don't look "soft" which means they should be somewhat weather resistant yah?

Sensational idea. I think I'll do this to match the interior trim kit rather than swap the wheel as well. I think it looks great and $1k still in my pocket.... for something else haha

Installed, I'm just under $400. Over $800 more for the full MPerformance wheel installed. I'm putting the "savings" into go-fast parts |

Your parts look great! I pulled the trigger and ordered all of it too. I think I'll have the service department at BMW install the streering wheel trim when I do the 1200 mile service. I hope they don't rip me off on the install

They most likely will rip you off, I tried to get them to install my stainless steel pedals at my 1,200 mile service and wanted to charge me 2.5 hours labor which was like $260 or something like that.. Even my SA told me just go somewhere else they can probably do it in an hour.

My dealer at BMW of Montgomery in Alabama is charging me an hour for labor on that inlay job, and giving me a 50% discount off list for the inlay itself. He's also installing steel pedals for free. For reasons neither of us understand, the original invoice from BMW listed steel pedals as a no charge option. The next one added that $285 cost back in, but the dealer backed me up. Dunno whether he got BMW to back off, or he's just eating it himself. But steel pedals for free with free labor is what I call great service. |

Mine was done by a non BMW dealer. A guy who runs a small family-garage. As ///M-lover he got specialised in M-Cars and has got a lot of ///M owners among his customers.
By the way, he was the only person in my region who guaranteed a undamaged tyre placement on my new painted 640M's. He was even willing to install the inlay I bought elsewhere. He billed 9€ ($10) for a 10 minute work. The inlay came from here : http://www.leebmann24.de/bmw-m-perfo...on-m2-f87.html My BMW dealer would have charged 83,50€ ($93.50) for placement and 315€ ($352.73) for the inlay which I thought highly exaggerated! |
