Surprisingly that was very enjoyable and an easy watch. Must be the accent.

The guy says it 'ASN'T (has not) actually got electric seats - typical London accent.

I liked the review too despite some very dodgy facts about its power, twin turbos, etc. Nice to see the M2 being driven sideways and sounded epic with the mics by the exhausts. Not sure I'd dare get that sideways on the road and I certainly wouldn't put up a vid showing me do it.

Thanks for clearing that up. I really heard it differently. Some DUTCH accents I cannot understand either though I am Dutch. But you're right I guess after hearing it again

Cheers

No worries - is no big deal, obviously. I often have the same prob with the different accents we have here in the UK. Must be a nightmare for non-natives.

Indeed! Has done only 315 miles so not even had its initial service yet. Kept mine under 5,000 rpm until it was serviced.

That's a good video, not sure how safe it is to drift on public roads but it I enjoyed watching it

I heard the car's computer won't allow you to go past 5,500 rpm before the break in period. It looked like he took it all the way to red line. Perhaps he had it hacked.

Where are people getting that? Also where are people hearing that the overboost is only enabled by service tech?

The service tech updates the car computer to allow certain features in the car I think.

Why do you think that is the case?

That's not true. Ask me how I know.

I thought launch control and something else was not enabled until 1200 miles? Not sure but I think in the video he's just doing an old school burn out vs. launch control.

To keep the car safe during the beginning 1200 miles? I'm not sure what you are asking exactly?

I'm assuming you can go past 5,500 rpm in your car before your break in period?

He is actually quite personable to listen to... but:
Heads up display?
Twin Turbo?
Less hp than the 1M?
Imagines it drives like a regular 2 series with a bit stiffer suspension?

I do feel sorry for the owner and subsequent owners... not only for the damage done to the engine, but he spent about $500 in tire rubber to make the video... even if they were just Contis.

I kind of felt guilty giving him another view, and encouraging that type of driving on public roads.

I am not asking for the possible rationale but rather for the proof that they are actually doing it
