M240i iDrive 5.0 - not that non-M sport car in the main menu

Hi there,

I was watching few M240i reviews while waiting for mine with delivery in January and I have found that every car with new iDrive system (5.0) has got some non-M sport looking car in menu.
I don't know how about you, but I'm quite stickler for detail and I find it super annoying that BMW couldn't to €1500 dash system mirror car itself (M sport bumpers at least).

So, because I'm in coding discussion, I would love to hear from you guys if you found any way to set there image of 2 series with M sport bumpers (M240i).
Since I know there is way to change M240i to ///M Performance logo in main cluster I'm trying to give it a try there.

Thanks!

(Oh yeah, I want to open menu and see everytime that aggresive looking pocket-rocket!)

Coding is the equivalent of changing a registry key - you aren't actually changing the "M performance" logo, you're simply changing a value from preset image A to preset image B.

What you're asking for is to actually modify graphics within the nav which is not possible (at least not with out a whole lot of clever hacking of the embedded OS).

Shy of being an ex-BMW firmware engineer it won't be possible.

Yes, that's what I actually meant - to change it from A to B. Since there is not defuault in any car M Perf. logo in cluster I thiught there could be a way, there are other model to swith between in main menu.
Anyway, thanks for you super-quick reply.

IIRC the M performance logo comes up after the coding for the MPPK performance kit. They hide it there from the OEM level.
