KW v2

What's happening guys!

Im about to pull the trigger on a used KW v2 for my f30 328i. I was just wondering how the KW is holding up for the f30 guys over a year or so and what is the usual lifespan of KW coilovers (this particular one has around 9000 miles on it).

Lastly, any issues with the newer batches of this model considering previous issues of the ride height being extremely low for some forumers?

Cheers.

Is the KW warranty transferable to the new owner? It may or may not be important to you of course. Worth verifying with KW distributor in Singapore.

Hi,

My friend had just sold his F30 with V2.
The ride height was very low indeed to keep the springs in optimal load. So low he had manufactured 25mm steel inserts under the upper mounting points to increase clearance wihought stretching out the coils.
In other terms- he bought it used and sold again used. KW has great quality and durability.

Apparantly the bumpstop for this unit has given way and if I were to purchase this one, I would have to use my stock bumpstops. Isn't it uncommon for the kw bumpstop to give way so prematurely ?

So are you guys using your stock bumpstops or the kw one ?

Mine on V1 had been destroyed as well in a year.
Bought a couple of KW ones to replace a dead and have one just in case. But the second one is still OK, after 4 years and driven by the next owner.

So I think it could be some fault in production process.

I have the Kw v2's for my f30. The ride height is perfect for me, I like the car to be "really low". The only trouble i've ran into is the coilers squeaking, it was a problem during summer time that went away and is no longer there now. For whatever my next car will be, KW will be the first brand I choose. I've had them on for 5-6 months now. Good luck with whatever you choose!

Thanks for all the insights! So if I were to keep it at its highest setting without any squeaking etc., how many approximate finger gap should i be anticipating on stock 18s?
