Windows down, rain, no more sound from radio. radio not working. Help!
Wife left both front windows down 1 inch. It rained like crazy for a full day and I did not notice. Got in the car the next day and the radio worked for 3 minutes. Then some pops and fizzes over the speakers and silence. Let it sit for a day and still no sound. I can mute, unmute, aux, etc. 0 sound.
I have the wonderful logic7 sound system. I figure take off the door skins and dry everything off? I did search a bit but didn't find a solution. Suggestions? Thanks in advance guys!

Thanks guys! The amp is in the trunk so it should not have gotten wet but it did rain alot. I'll start troubleshooting when I get home.

Amp was/is sitting in some water. I'm going to check the fuses in the glovebox but i'm 99% sure I need a new amp and I guess a leak to fix as well!
Given the front windows were open an inch during a rain storm is there any chance something else go wet which could also stop things from working? I know the MOST loop has to be complete, any easy way to check for this? I have iCarly if that would help. Just curious. Thanks again for the help guys.

Wet amp = no sound no gongs
Wet amp = no sound no gongs
Sure other stuff could be wet like the speakers in the doors and floors. The amp is most likely the big problem unless the car was under water. You might want to check under the trunk floor for the modules behind the seats being wet to. |
