If you look at the figures on the last page you can see how optimised for snow the Nokian is. In dry handling, wet handling, wet braking and particularly rolling resistance and cabin noise the Nokian is way down the list, so if you live in central Europe they are a good option, but in the UK conditions for 99% of winter you are better off with tyres that are perfectly good in the snow but are much better in other conditions.

Also the Nokians will likely wear out quickly when not used in snow, see this test below, and also notice how the Dunlops are easily first!

Very good point teaspoon. I really think something like the cross climate is the ideal winter tyres for the average British winter.
I've got hold of a set of Michelin Pilot Alpins, which is what they recommend for sports cars, so I'm hoping they're still decent when it's actually not all that wintry.

Yep agree with what you have said, still not sure what to do.

Costco do Michelin and Bridgestone so that may influence my decision.

Go for Michelins! Bridgeston LM001's are average, and LM25's are very poor!

I got Alpins from Camskill, shopped around online for ages and they were the best price by far at the time, (5 weeks ago)

I have conti winters on my 18 inch wheels, so happy they come out well. Haven't had a good workout yet but impressed with them last year as my first venture into winter tyres..

It was more than that for me when I was buying plus fitting was done FOC at my local dealer so no worries about marking the rims.

In my experience Costco are not as competitive as they were 5 or so years ago.

hope you get sorted

Have you got them for the M140? Have a spare set of rims or just plan to swap the tyres?

Planning to put some winters on soon.
