340i xDrive Dyno Questions

Whatsup guys, this is my first post here: I have a 2016 BMW 340i X Drive fully loaded and so far my mods are:

JB4 (Running Map 1)
BMS Intake
ER Catless Downpipes 4.5 Inch
Muffler Delete

Attached is my Dyno from today, I was expecting a lot more HP, can anyone tell me why it was so low? If it was a Dyno thing or something? Just a little confused haha. Let me know! THANKS!

Did you get a baseline on the same dyno, by chance? I wouldn't worry as much about your numbers being low (due to variability between dynos and conditions) and worry more about getting the most out of your DP and tune.

What numbers were you looking for? Looks reasonable to me. You know these numbers are measured at the wheels and not crank like factory ratings?

Most on here use STD correction factor. You would have likely gotten slightly higher numbers... something around ~360whp/420wtrq

Did I you log the pulls? Is it an auto or 6 spd. Torque is there for sure. I am pretty local to shop you were at and I have all same mods except muffler delete.

No I didn't, what exactly do I need to log it? And it's Auto. Torque is definitely there, I was expecting HP to be right around there as well.

JB4 can log. Just a thought as your low-mid range is great but after 5k everything seems to plateau and or fall off. I'm curious to see if your losing boost up top for some reason.

How are you liking the downpipe? I just picked up a 340xi. And for a awd ride with just a few bolton's the #s are great!!!

STD is just a different correction factor... its just a calculation the dyno uses based on ambient temperature, etc.

Like I said earlier... it reads slightly higher then SAE correction. You may have squeaked out 360whp which is by no means something to frown upon. As long as the car is pulling nice I wouldn't get so worked up over it.

Another thing is the gear it was dynoed in... do you know what gear they used? Best to use the gear that is closest to a 1:1 ratio... i think that's either 4th or 5th on the autos, but I don't think the results will vary much based on my friends dyno in different gears... they were all pretty close to one another.

Torque is there... horsepower slightly low. Would have been nice to get a baseline. If it bothers you that much.. You can always jump on another dynojet for comparison... though they are pretty accurate across the board.

Burger Motorsports did 379/378 on stage 1 jb4.

Hi,
Don't worry about the numbers. I have a 340xi myself, with a tune, DP and exhaust.
I am pulling 100-200km/h in 8.8 seconds (on the speedometer). Before the mods, it took me 11 seconds, which makes a decrease of 25% resp. 25% increase in power. You should find similar numbers.

Cheers

Uh, I don't think that's low at all for AWHP/AWTQ. My N55 dynos at 350AWHP/420AWTQ FBO minus IC on Map 6, if your dyno is at the wheels, that's really good for just map 1 and catless DP.

What gas are you using ? (TopTierGas 93 is recommended for consistency)
Switch your jb4 to map0 or 4 for baseline run
What mode was your car in (Dsc off) what gear ? 4th or 5th ?
I see they're using SAE which is fine and its aligned closer to Uncorrected which is what the car made that day, but if you want to brag use STD Smoothing 5 since that shows the inflated number.

I was using 93 Octane (From Jersey)

I might do some more runs this week both with the JB4 Off and On, and I think im gonna buy the bluetooth kit so I can log it on my phone etc.

They put it in Sport + so DSC was off, And I'm not 100% sure what gear they used, I think 4th or 5th but don't quote me on that.
