Subwoofer and speaker guide

A general guide touching on the level of quality for different brands of different components. This is far from an all encompassing guide but can deliver good direction in where you are trying to go.

This will be a heated source of debate for many people and if you find that one or more items should be placed lower or higher on the list, please let me know. But by doing so, please annotate sources or give solid information to back up your claim.

I did not make this list, it is merely an aggregation.

This is not meant to be an all inclusive guide, so there will be brands that have been left out. Please forgive me.

Once grouped into high quality/good etc.. it is organized alphabetically and not another subset of quality.

Enjoy

I am not sure, link?

This was not made by me but an old car audio forum that used to exist and I didn't want the list to die because it was a wealth of great information/starting points.

Was thinking of this one here:
http://www.caraudioforum.com/showthread.php?t=337891

It uses a similar classification system. I like to use those lists as references for finding new options and products, there's a ton of names I'd never heard of when I first stumbled on it.

I'm in two minds as far as the whole 'quality rating' thing goes. Even the best companies can release overpriced products that leverage their brand power. Quality is a good thing but value for money is more critical for the majority of consumers I believe. And that one can only be figured out for individual products, and even then that is hard to define and can change over time based on the evolution of the industry.
