Cant seem to bleed the brakes correctly
So I've retrofitted the Brembo 340/345mm kit to my F21
I've bled via the Pressure method while connected to the ista/d operating the DSC Pump. but yet the pedal is still so spongey, does anyone see anything I'm missing her or tips to get it done correctly |

My understanding is that you need to code the car to get pedal to feel right. Do some research on here and you will find what your looking for. I know because I was going to do the same.

Pressure method, as in using the Motive pump bottle? spongy as in more than an inch depressed before you feel stopping power? Also, did you finished the job in 1 day? If your brake lines are exposed for extended period, you'll get moisture and bubble problem. I did the Stoptech ST60 BBK install w/o issues, 5 hours. I also replaced brake fluid and bled in this order: rear-right-outside, rear-right-inside, rear-left-outside, rear-right-inside, front-right-outside, front-right-inside, front-left-outside, front-left-inside. I made sure the fluid runs clear w/o bubbles, I also tapped the calipers with a rubber mallet to dislodge small bubbles. I also coded.

i bled with pressure bleeder without bleeding DSC/ABS pump and my pedal felt spongy. When i bled it i activated the pump twice before opening up the bleeder screws. than it felt like it was before. Also do try coding in the msport brake that may have something
not sure if u went to this thread yet http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1142589

My workshop did my F30 brakes few weeks ago and the proper method according to them is to change one end at a time and bleed after each time. So you install then bleed and repeat again. They started with the front brakes first.
They say if you replaced all brakes then only bleed, it will screw it up. My bro in law and I both change to M performance BBK at the same time and it was done like this. |

so fully bled all callipers again, no air. started engine and pedal went straight to the floor. heres the interesting part..... I have no idea why this works but it does, I discharged the battery until the engine, lights head unit wouldn't work. then put car on charge and by some miracle the pedal is sharp and responsive |
