Dyno.. My N52 Turbo Finally made it to the Dyno.

Well like the title said finally made it to the dyno tonight. I'm happy with the outcome to say the least...

Low Boost 12psi 461hp and 371tq

Mid Boost 15psi 498hp and 421tq

High Boost 19psi 569hp and 500tq

High and Low boost difference

Only got three pulls on high boost when a weak point on the engine started showing its ugly head. Started pushing coolant out of the expansion tank cap. The cylinder head is lifting under high boost and pushing pressure into the cooling system, so will need to replace the head bolts with studs and retorque the head. Turned it back down to 15psi and did a couple more pulls and it's still ok...

This engine is BEAST!

I'll post some better dyno graph pics with notes when I get them on a jump drive and will also post a video or two this weekend with the runs.

Youtube uncut unedited dyno clip.

This is some crazy findings aye as I know the n54 stock twins are maxing at ~18-20psi too...

Ohhh another note DigiDon , do you think if going forged internals will make your n52 be able to take more boost? i.e. 36psi on the GTX3582r like the world record 861rwhp n54 since you have already done the n54 tranny swap

Great work!!!!!

One question, did you leave the soft limiter in the tune that pulls intake valve lift at 6800 RPM? All of your pulls start to drop power at that point.

And if these are whp, you are putting more power than n54 at the same boost.

Damn! N52 is def wolf in sheep's clothing.

Thats what i would expect. The N52 head will have a higher natural VE than the N54, giving it more power potential at a given boost level.

If you really wanted to push it, a frankenmotor with the n52 head, n54 block and running msv70 would be strong and have tons of potential.
