E92 335xi vs E92 335I (N54)

How much slower are XI compared to regular I with same mods and fuel type from a roll? Just purchased a 08 335xi wondering how much slower my car is due to extra weight and drivetrain loss.

Don't quote me on this, but I remember somewhere on thsi forum 335xi was actually faster in 0-60 not only on paper, but in real life - it has more grip and 335 can for sure benefit from it. Hell, even my 328xi during rain, can beat more powerful cars (that would normally whoop my ass) thanks to xi

From a standstill I know XI has the advantage. I'm wondering how much of a difference it is from a roll.

OCD over tenths of seconds? Then it matters about which options and which battery (AGM weighs more) and which wheels (bigger diameter weighs more) are fitted to the car, to increase curb weight. And then you have the question of tire traction due to tread patterns and rubber formulation and age of the rubber compound in the tires.

IOW, you cannot truly compare!

Actually not worried about tenths of a second more concerned on how much slower my car is on the highway.

I'm pretty sure they can both go 60-80mph on the highway with little to no issue.

The xi/xDrive weighs more.

Also the weight distribution is different. There's more weight on the front wheels on the xi.

So in corners, the regular 335i should perform better (when it's dry at least).

More to performance than a straight line
