Goodyear F1 Asymmetrics

Has anyone tried these tires? They seem to be fairly new so I didn't find a lot of reviews on them. The 4 user reviews they had were all very positive although with not a lot of miles on the tires. Tire Rack's testing looked very good, particularly in wet conditions. They seemed on par with PS2's but for a couple hundred less. Total weight would be 0-4 pounds more depending on tire size.

I had the PS2 and Asy, Asy is now the best tires of the year. Asy is quiter than PS2, also more grab when it comes to a high G cornering.

I've been on PS2 last 2 sets of tires (2 cars) & love them.
I'm seriously going to look at changing to the F1 Asy next time.
The only slight negative is that PS2 is still the light weight champ @ 1-2 lbs lighter.

These charts are really impressive!!!

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I ended up picking up two 255/40 Pilot Sports (PS1's). In my spare tire collection, I had two perfectly good 225/40 PS1's with plenty of tread left so I figured I'd give'm a shot. Depending on what else comes out until I need new tires, I'll be keeping the F1 Asymmetrics in mind. I had read the reviews at Tire Rack and was impressed.

Two independant UK magazines did a tyre test around the time these were launched. The Goodyear F1 Asy came top. I think the PS2 came 4/5th overall, suffering mainly in the wet (but coming equal with the F1 Asy in the dry).

I definately plan to try it out after this set of PS2s expires. They should also be cheaper, which is a good thing - since the price of a set of 4 19" PS2s is a real wallet buster!
