Change JB4 activation buttons?

I tried searching various terms but could not find what I am looking for.

Is there a way to change the buttons used to activate JB4? Instead of pushing volume and channel down, maybe push both up or one up.

Probably not.. most likely that's coded into the software and to my knowledge the JB4 software is not open source meaning it can not be manipulated.

You cannot change them, but you can prevent the JB4 sequences from messing with the radio/idrive.

One of the options permits this.

Really? I didn't see that on the guide anywhere. I always turn the radio off.

Edit: nevermind. I'm an idiot. 6-5, 6-6 and 6-7 or is that to keep the radio from coming on when you start the car? I'm looking for it to not change volume and stations when changing settings.

6-6 or 6-7 depending on your hardware.

That temporarily disables the radio while you use the JB4 controls w/o changing radio or nav settings.

It is very handy when changing maps while driving.

6-5 sets it back to affecting the radio.

OK cool. I was thinking from the way it was worded it that it was like 6-4 where it is like you hit the DTC button when you started it only this one would turn the radio off when you started it. Thanks for clarifying.

Wonder why that's even an option at all. It should be like that permanently by default.
