Voice command not working...please help

The "dial number" command works fine and I am able to make a call, but when I use the "dial name" command it says "phone book empty". So, I looked into the phone manual and I tried to store a name by saying "store name" but no matter how I say it, it doesnt recognize "store name". Is there a way to fix this or go around it so I can use the dial name feature? (BTW all the contacts from my e815 show up in the display)

The command is "save name" - not "store name"

The manual is incorrect.

Some member who have idrive have stated that they can say "Dail John" without actually saving a phone book in their car's memory. I believe this only works with the Idrive voice command system and not the vouce command that comes with the bluetooth only.

Here are some basic commands:

Save Name
Dial Name
Dial Number
Redail
help

Using the save name function, stores a voice dailing memory in the car - it can store up to 50 names. I find it best to save the names when I am not driving - because it tries to match what you say to the recording when you want to dial name.

The other poeple who have the idrive and voice recognition system have a better system. So don't get confused when they post.

Just say help after pressing the button and you will get a list of options to say. Thats the easiest way.

Hmmm. Works fine on my car. Make sure that you say "Dial Joe Smith" and not "Dial Name Joe Smith"
