From the much anticipated starter tune for the BMW B58 engine (340i) to the BMW M57, N57, and N47 engines (BMW Diesels) the tune lineup for current generation BMW's has never been so comprehensive.

For those of you waiting for the full DINANTRONICS Elite tune, it is also near completion with a public release date later in Q1 2017 so your wait is coming to a close as well.

Description: DINANTRONICS Sport is the boost controller for the masses. Its simple design/execution allows for easy installation/removal that can be performed in a blink of an eye and yields results you will be sure to feel, and enjoy, from the get go. Coupled with Bluetooth capabilities right out of the box that allows for user controlled adjustability and a live boost monitor to keep track of the action its a value proposition that is unequaled in the marketplace.

DINANTRONICS Sport plugs into two sensors which lends itself to a very quick and and discrete installation, or removal, should the need arise. Not only does this connection method offer a simplified install but also effectively utilizes the factory DME, in tandem with itself, in order to re-map boost, fueling, and timing for optimal performance. Once installed DINANTRONICS Sport enjoys connectivity to various smartphone devices courtesy of its built-in Bluetooth Smart system. From the free app one has the freedom to reduce stock boost for valet duties or crank up the boost all the way up to the "race" setting for maximum enjoyment... or anywhere in between. Regardless of what setting is chosen there is a power level for everyone. Also within the app the end user has access to a live boost monitor which streams boost data in real time to the phone very similar in appearance to the sport gauges on the iDrive. Not only will you be able to feel the difference but now you can see it as well!

Benefits of the DINANTRONICS Sport Performance Tuner for BMW B58 Engines:

Nice! This will likely be my first mod after break-in. Could you clarify the duno though? The gain is clear, but it says stock hp was measured at 262 when it looks like 379. Maybe I'm reading it wrong.

The graph is misleading... the "measured" and graph do not match up....

If this is applied to the m240i what will the numbers look like since the engine is tuned a bit from the factory compared to the 340

I want real numbers and comparisons before I buy something like his for the m240i

Will it simply override the factory tune (obviously) and give the projected 340 numbers?

Fixed the graph. 18 hour day crammed full of releases something was bound to be missed. The graph itself is correct, it was just the numbers on the top that were wrong.

Sport is simply a boost controller so it will "stack" on top of the upgraded power of the M240i tune. The deltas will remain constant from what is reported above just slid up the graph because the base number will be higher.

Do you have any DIY guide for installation?

Is it similar to the JB4 Install or easier?

More similar to JB+ Quick install. It's only installed between the TMAP connector to read real boost, and modify what the DME is receiving..

Might take 5-10 minutes to install.

We have emissions test here in Canada. Will this effect the emission output?

What kind of power can we expect from the m240? Another 50hp on top of the base? Your graph states 400+ hp at the wheels.... that is far more than 50 hp. Please look at the graph as it has not changed.

I think the graph is relative to the "measured" hp of their 340i test vehicle... Look at the delta graphs below

The device doesn't effect emissions. You still have a cat Don't remove it and you'll be fine.

Thanks for the update. Pretty astonishing that the 340i is advertised at 320 horsepower but dynoing at 379 stock (adjusted for crank hp I assume)

Engineering hasn't posted them yet but I would imagine the install guide will be up next week. Aren't in a huge rush since its not shipping til January. =/

Simple install though, 5-10 minutes at the most.

Actually this particular one is a 2 sensor unit so more closely compares to a stage 1.

No. CAT is retained.

Dinan measures at the crank/flywheel. I think that is where you are having issues. The M240i numbers would simply be the same deltas as what is listed above but shifted up being that the M240i has a higher baseline. The max gains of 40HP/50TRQ would still apply.

Just curious, do you have any figures for drivetrain horsepower loss on the M240i stock vs. with Dinantronics installed?

The SPORT tune is done (Not BETA) and will begin shipping in a few weeks. We pre-released early so it could be part of the Black Friday/Cyber Monday promotions but the development was already done. Simply waiting on connectors to come in so they can be built is all.

Latter part of January is about as specific as I can give as we have not received the connectors in yet. Once they arrive they would still need to be physically built/assembled...
