BMW E90 well built to support 40 to 50 mph on a rear impact

http://socale9x.ning.com/forum/topic...%3ATopic%3A423

Today is very sad for me folks. I was driving on Interest 10 east bound. There was little traffic on the fwy. i was on the second fast lane beside the carpool. This lady driver (IS 300) white car cut in front of me. She step on a brake. I step on a brake. To avoid hitting her car from behind, i steer my car from left to right to slow down the speed. I stop just in time. All suddently , i got hit from behind. It push my body forward. My leg was still on the brake paddle, and the other leg on the clutch paddle. He was speeding at least 40 to 50 miles per hour ram it into my rear bumper. I cant say much on the other car. The car was hitting me is 2006 Acura 3.2 TL. The whole hood bend up and pushed back near to the middle of the engine. Myself and the other driver got taken to the hospital for examination for broken bones.

talking about bad luck in a month.

the last picture i just updated as 4/9/08
the accident was on 4/8/08

I was in a hospital for 5 hrs at Moinclair hospital. They took more than 20 x ray pictures on my body. I was in major shock. My blood pressure got up to 180/116. My hip is killing me. My legs is hurting. i barely can eat anything. I can barely walk. I guess im the lucky one to walk out with bruces and no broken bone

I can see my rear bumper got push in

Your body just underwent some trauma. It'll take a few weeks to heal and a few follow-up visits to doctor/hospital. For now, Vicodin is your friend (if you aren't allergic)

Keep your spirits up!

my estimation for repair about at least 7 g. and not including trip to the hospital maybe im looking at 10 G +. it should be around 50G to cover everything. my bumper is slidely push back. it got bend a little bit. I think the frame got bend too.. It might be a total lost. Since BMW does not have part for bend frame.

Its good to hear that you're all right. The e90's are very well built. I was hit the same way, but at 20mph. I can tell you the car was sturdy as hell...The body and frame took all of the vibration away from the passengers..

Hope you're ok.. I thought our cars are unibody - no frames except for subframes.

Ha yes, that is the fun part when they are repairing everything! They will most likely have to do a frame pull then replace the section of frame that has be smashed. Definitely not the best of times. Good to see your ok tho.

Just get a M-tech rear bumper while it is in the shop to make everything seem better lol

dude are you doing ok from all this? that's pretty intense. worry about the car after...cuz that will just add more stress in all this. make sure you're ok first, and your passenger..

in this situation, does the lady that cut you off take the hit or does the person that ran into you get screwed?
