I lost my extra fob for my 2006 330xi, paid the ridiculous fee at the dealer, got the key and it won't work.

I tried putting it in the ignition slot for 20 seconds after starting the car with my other key and it still gives the dash symbol of a key with a slash through it. It won't open anything. I did exactly what the service advisor at the dealership told me to do and nothing.

Am I missing a step or something? I don't want to go back there and look like an idiot.

If it didn't work and you paid a high amount to get
it you would be and idiot to not take it back.
Did you buy it as a programmed fob?

Read mashmans replys I think CA has to be programmed
by BMW.
