Not clear if you are talking about the radio or the sound system.
The sound system for the US in that year will be either Hi Fi
or L7

I have not had the car long and I am looking to add subs to the car . Not sure where to look for it to reel me sorry. I will look more close at the rear doors . I want to know to add the cut downs so I can do subs .

You need to know which sound system you have first off.

That's what I am trying to figure out . I think it's hi if from what I have read.

There are number of ways to tell the L7 system will have a center dash speaker and equalizer controls.(hi fi no )
Do a BMW vincheck with one of the bmw vincheckers found online.
It will print out all installed options hi fi is 676 ,L7 677 in 08.
The Hi Fi amp is black and the L7 silver in 08.
L7 has both rear deck an door speakers in 08.

Your subs should be under the front seats

Thanks for the help . My radio is Hi Fi . I used taps on the sub wires and a stinger line lever converter. Installed two JL 12w3's and a JL 1000 with a volume adjuster in the front console so I don't over power the mid's and high's .
