Has anyone tried removing this box from the inlet pipe!? I'm assuming this is nothing more than a Helmholtz resonator. I know you'd need to plug the hole with something... but I have a feeling this is muting a lot of the fun intake noises.

This would make me take my intake off instantly if it works. The BMS intake hasn't worked well for me (but the sound is amaaaaazinc).

I have a feeling there is something to it. It looks like nothing more than a noise cancellation chamber... I want that noise lol.

Post a pic of your install close up...no reason it shouldn't be working properly.

In what way has it not worked well for you?

I will post up pictures tonight.

Two drive train malfunctions under hard acceleration around 10mph. It only happens when I have the BMS intake on. Car surges/chokes on the 2rd-3rd shift on WOT (automatic) and 3rd-4th as well. The throttle is a lot more hesistate as well, almost like it struggles.

I have tried two different BMS intakes so the results have been the same. I don't see what I could have done incorrectly during the install, it's pretty straight forward.

Again, this only happens with the intake on. BUTTTT the intake sounds so god dang beautiful.

Weird, I don't have those issues. Mine is a 6MT, I wouldn't think it would matter though.

If you have free time, could you post close up pics of your intake setup?

Sounds crazy but did you try loosening the filter and spinning it 180 degrees?

Also make sure the MAF sensor didnt get any oil on it from the filter, you can clean it with alcohol or brake kleen.

It shouldnt have any issues. Did you ask Terry about it?

I have the same problem with the BMS intake. Car choked at 2 - 3rd gear or when you stop and go rapidly.

To people who are having issues with this intake, did you send install pics to Burger Tuning technical support?

We sell a lot of these intakes, never heard of this issue

Hi guys
I realised that it needs to be replaced so I didnt bother
But
Instead I have removed bonnet sound dampening cover and it sounds fantastic - twice as loud as before.

Recommended for anyone who really want to hear the turbo spool.
Love it

I never have any issues with my intake, it is very similar - the car runs fine and the sound is sweet.

Nice. I would have gotten that if it was available when I bought the BMS
