Resonator Delete

Hey guys I want some input from you guys. As of now of my exhaust setup is a ER catless downpipe and muffler delete (3" piping not 2.5) . I was thinking of MAYBE getting a resonator delete. What do you guys think? Based off of exhaust note, do you think it'll sound good? Not worried about drone.

It's going to be insignificant compared to the ER downpipe

I'll know pretty soon. I've ordered Supersprint sections 1 & 2.

That said I have Stage 2 Turbo, ER High Flow Cat and 335i muffler. So who knows how it's going to sound.

I also have ACF performance Stage 3 tune and get a lot of burbles and pops right now, so interested to see how the Resonator delete changes things.

Basically you will be going straight through Exhaust with no sound dampening. Might be a bit Loud and echo.

If you cut it in the right place you can always put it back. So give it a shot!

Just need to find a place that'll do a good resonator delete. Is the stock exhaust pipe size 3"?

I believe it's 75mm, but that's close enough.

Seriouly, you've chopped off just about everything! If that isn't loud enough for you, you may as well just unbolt the downpipe from the turbo and run it like that!!!

LOL, curious to how loud your car really is now. Any videos of outside giving it gas or getting on it and inside the cabin? (although they don't do much justice)

I'm curious on removing my resonator as well. I have the same exhaust setup on my 328i N20 as you and I know exactly what you mean when you say it's not loud but not quiet lol. Do you think we would lose performance if removing the resonator? I heard something with the pressure causes lost of performance or something like that.

I have heard that also, but dont think it will even be noticeable. The exhaust now is definitely able to be heard. I just want louder cracks and pops. However I heard how my car sounds from the outside a couple nights ago and really like it, not sure if I want to res delete

anyone running with a muffler delete, can you share experiences?

does it drone at around 1800-2500rpm?

did you gain power? lose power?

does it sound good- worth it to deal with the drone?

Its sounds ok imo. I had the mpe and didn't like how quiet it was so I sold it. Got a downpipe and sounds really good now imho. Don't remember whether or not if it drones but if it is its a little and is worth kt

Thinking about doing either a resonator delete or a muffler delete. How many resonators are there? 1 or 2?
