£9k seems way too high for an SE car IMO.

I think £7k is more the price. The most I was offered for my E92 M sport a year ago was £8500 and it had fewer miles.

Thanks for the input. I agree in part - but does the BMW main dealer warranty not count for something? I paid nearly 10k only 5 months ago for this car and it's in excellent condition, and everything barring wear and tear will be taken care of should it go wrong until April 2018. I have another BMW under main dealer warranty, and it's been invaluable. New wiring loom, new gearbox and other bits within the first 6 months! I would be scared to buy one without. Although all this one has needed was a wheel bearing shortly after I collected it. Also, there's not a lot of 4 doors out there : ) Having said that, I will of course listen to reasonable offers. I need it gone now really.

£10k from a dealer, which has high margins and provides financing.
minus dealer margin = £8800
minus warranty cost = £7800
minus increased age / mileage = £7600
minus winter market = £7400

The warranty already on it is probably worth £4-500.

£8k isn't a terrible price, but be prepared to accept lower. 10 year old SE's aren't worth that much unfortunately. In the used market these kind of cars appeal to people who generally want M Sport looks. 17" wheels are the bottom of most peoples list.

Unusual to see a dealer supplied 10 year old car. Looks like good value at 7k.

Worth updating your first post tho as this new price could be easily missed

Indeed, I was surprised to find it. Thanks, I'll do that now. They said it was rare but it was a very well looked after car they took on PX. The condition is excellent.

Sorry, stupid question; why is it a bonus the previous owner was a BA pilot?

Pilots make money so assumption is that no expense would be spared.

Yeah, good point, not sure why it's so relevant, but it was just part of the back story of the car. He owned it from new. Car is still available if people want to make an offer.
