filter message

Hi just moved to the m240 soft top from 5 previous zd4 (yes 5 from my first 03 2.5 up to 3.0 auto to my last 28, which was the best in mpg and 0-60, and I had from 3 month old pre reg for nearly 4 years).

As the zd4 is no longer I looked around and for my budget I slipped into this 15 day old pre reg and frankly its fast. Its just done 1.2K so now having a bit of fun.

I have been in a time warp, simply can not believe that this is faster than any zd and can bring 38mpg compared to my last 28 of 41 mpg.

the tech is and ride is amaizing, I have never had the I drive in any zd . a pot hole in the zd went with a bang and thought the wheel would be buckled, with this nothing even on run flats.

Town drive I'm doing 25mpg and at 50mph country which is most of my drive getting 36 to 38 so well happy with weekly average 32mpg well above the old 3.0 considering 100 bhp more but a bit down on the 28 where I did 36. This is on par for all my previous 2.5's

I do have a few questions

1) when revving I get a rattle in the exhaust
2) I have a message saying check filter, whats that about.
3) even in eco pro I can spin the back round with no flashing stability control, a little surprised but fun.
Thanks

Jaz4 (z4 still at heart)

I can't speak to most of your items, but I get the exhaust rattle only on colder starts, then it's gone until the next cold start.

I had read another thread ages ago that suggested there was a Technical Service Bulletin open for the rattle (TSB).

Enjoy the car!
