Subjective/objective user opinions between M Sport standard and M Perf Brakes
I have the lowly single piston front and rear 330/300mm M Sport standard brakes. The single time I took my car to the track for an HPDE event I was extremely underwhelmed with them. I'm on the verge of upgrading to the full boat M Performance BBK based on it's specs and OEM warranty coverage.
Subjectively, seat of the pants/confidence in hard stopping, do you M Perf MMK owners feel it was a major change from the standard single piston set up?

Seems you have the M-Sport trim package, but standard brakes. M-Sport brakes for 328i are 340/345mm and M-Performance are 370/345mm. I swithed from 300/300mm standard to 340/345mm M-Sport and the difference is tremendous.

I upgraded from Sport line brakes (312/300mm floating calipers) to MPBBK (370/340mm fixed calipers). Yes the difference in stopping power and pedal feel is noticeable and I haven't done HPDEs yet on this setup.
You already have somewhat upgraded brakes with 330mm fronts. It depends on your budget where to go from here. Taking small steps You can upgrade brake fluid and more aggressive pads. If that's not enough, then fixed caliper front brakes from 335 could be next. MPBBK is a step beyond that, although it has some issues that irritate people who get it for looks. The dimpled rotors make hissing noise while driving. Something about air flow over the dimples. The pads are very dusty and people complain they are actually less aggressive than 335 pads. M3/4 pads in MPBBK is a common upgrade discussed on this forum. Oceanview has a great thread for brake buying and turner motorsports has breakdown of various brake packages that came with F30 cars. |

I know there are certain ways to mix and match parts off of a 335i but I'd rather not fool with all that. I want it to simply work as a whole and not have to worry about trimming this or that down a little.
From my research, my 328i has 330mm fronts as opposed to the standard 312mm fronts (same 300mm rears) but still come with the crappy single piston non-Brembo calipers front and rear.
