How Radio reads the AUX input
How does the radio acquire the 3.5mm AUX analog feed?
I know the jack is in center console, is it just a another wire from the port to the back of the radio? I ask this questions because I removed my combox and completed the fiber loop with a dummy fiber terminator. My radio always says AUX as a selection choice but I get no audio. All I want to do is listen to my music with an AUX input cable... Can I just run a 3.5 mm wire from back of radio to my console? or does 2011 cars require a combox for AUX? I wouldn't think AUX cares about MOST loop |

Answer is MULF/TCU... I need my combox to have working AUX input. The AUX port takes in 3.5mm audio signal, sends it to the trunk and in the trunk is converts to fiber for the radio to play. This is on my 2011 328xi
