Pilot sport 4S

Who here knows when the pilot sport 4S is supposed to be released for sale and who will test them out? I'm really excited about the tire and can't wait it says January release but not sure if for Europe or both us and them

For us they are out already. For you, no clue.

PS: using us and them on an international forum gets confusing, right? Never realised that bimmerpost is a us forum only...

For US, EU=You
For EU(Us), US=You

So no clue

The U.S. is expected to start seeing the new Michelin roll out around March-April 2017.

Have you looked at the US website?? Perhaps you should before you make a comment, there is nothing about the 4s on their website for us.

Looking forward to this tire, my car came with the Conti's and I want them gone so a couple of autocross and track days should do the trick.

I'm aware that these are available in our sizes in Europe already but does anybody know if/when there'll be a BMW specific model with the star on it? They normally apply their own tweeks to the tyre before they approve it. Don't see anything about it on the Michelin website btw.

If they are out in Europe, question is, will they equip them on cars for US delivery? Apparently not yet.

Michelin Pilot Sport 4S Availablilty in the US

As long as you are not in a state controlled Internet country, you can typically connect to any Michelin site across the globe and most of those sites will not provide correct information for the US market.

News Flash: Companies actually make different web sites with different information for different markets.

http://www.michelinman.com/US/en/homepage.html

is an appropriate site for the US market for passenger cars.

Pilot Sport 4S can be found via search on this web site, but information is very limited. No size list was apparent.

When searching by tire name, a 2016 M2 cannot be fitted with Pilot Sport 4S. A guess would be because they are not yet available.

A chat on the site resulted in and indication thata Pilot Sport 4S tires will first come to the US market in March with 19" and larger being the first sizes available before smaller sizes.

If you find more information, please share.

Michelin Pilot Sport 4S Event in Palm Springs Tonight 1/16

Just saw a short clip on Periscope shot by an attendee at a Michelin Pilot Sport 4S introduction in Palm Springs, tonight. The car on which they chose to show the tires was a M4 GTS.

It appeared the individual streaming on Periscope had not seen a GTS before. The isn't much to see in the video.

They are apparently going to the home of BMW Performance Center West at The Thermal Club in Thermal, CA a little south east of Palm Springs tomorrow.

Should be available early spring this year, I think prices start at $233 MSRP or so.

Question remains, although it looks like we are closer!
If the cars are built in Germany, won't they get the tires sooner? Obviously need to be US spec, but I would not be surprised if the tires are actually made in Germany.
