Ok,
So on Friday I had to stay a little late at work, so I thought that maybe I should take the highway (no traffic) instead of driving through my regular route back home.

So, I get on the highway and I drive with the flow (about 70-80mph)

For those of you familiar with Atlanta area - I got on I285 and then merged onto I20 West...

Anyways...right after I get on I20 some guy driving an older 3 series starts to drive aggressively behind me. He gets closer to my tail, brakes, moves from one lane to another, so I finally decided to have some fun and play along.

I went from 6th gear to 3rd and as I was up shifting though the gears, accelerated in WOT, for about half a mile. Lost the guy and calmed down. As I am going through the music albums stored on my USB flash I hear a voice...: No just kiddin' - I hear a GA state patrol talking to me on the loud speaker....

Come to find out (later) that he was chasing me for a while

So, I start changing lanes to get to the right side of the road, so I can safely pull over, and of course the police office is right behind me. So there is no reason to believe that he made a mistake. He clearly was behind me...

So, I get to the last lane and give my turn signal to pull over, and at this moment the cop aligns his car parallel to mine, and starts talking to me on his loud speaker. I could not understand a word of what he said, so he makes the sign to pull down my window. As we continue to drive, side-by-side, he says to me: "Your driving is awful..."
and I respond: "Really"
he says: "Yeah, really, but don’t pull over, I am cuttin' you a break today..." and accelerated ahead.

I could not believe my eyes and ears...Thanked GOD for helping me and drove under the speed limit for the rest of the night...

The moral of the story:
"Do not get lured by others and your emotions"
and
"There are still some people that won’t give you a ticket just because they have a quota to meet for the month..."

Always nice to hear a happy ending than the usual ones that give THEM a bad name. (Although if a cop told me my driving were awful , I'd go nuts and challenge him, b/c I doubt I'll see the day one of them is better then me.)

lmao...he must have been on the way home, alot of other cars i doubt he would have had the confidence to ask you to put the window down next to him without thinking he was going to be shot.

the funny thing is that after he let me go, he pushed his car WOT and lots of smoke came out of the pipes. It is really funny to see a 3 ton car trying to accelerate WOT...

I dont know if it is the best story, but it scared the sh#t out of me...there is a saying here in GA, that you never get away without a ticket from a State Patrol officer, once he/she is behind you...I got real lucky!

The cop must be on his way to attend an incident.

once my friends car was hit by a guy with expired license, the cop said he should arrest that guy but since he has had more accidents to attend he is leaving him, since he was nice by stopping and admitting his mistake and he had insurance

Cops are nice, and they have a bad day sometimes and then they get mad at you.

Wow you're lucky! I wish I had the same luck 2 wks ago (Mar. 31st, no less)..was going 90 in a 65 and apparently a NJ cop was pacing me or so he said. I didn't see him despite my compulsively checking mirrors @ that speed. No mercy, but no BS speech either. Had me pulled over and w/a ticket in hand in no more than 5 mins lol.

A few yrs ago though a PA trooper did the same. Was going 85ish in a 55 and the unmarked car flashes his headlights, pulls next to me and tells me to roll down the window, "slow it down", and sped away.
