Good Evening, I am overwhelmed with the different years/ variants, updates etc, and just need to know which version of the JB4 I need for my car. I want to make sure I get the one that doesn't require me to splice any wires, and I think was required prior to 2015? Also, if it's prior to 2015 there is no EWC right?

N55 F Series JB4 Harness B for 2014+ M235i WITH Electronic Wastegate Control......does that cover all of it? I am getting overwhelmed on eBay trying to figure out which will work and which will require me to but more cables.

Yes you want to get the N55 F series JB4 harness B. The board should already be the EWG. It is optional but I would add the EWG harness as well to use with your wastegate.. also optional but awesome in my book is the Rev3 connect kit, for JB4 app.

That's great info...thank you SerenVox. Didn't the EWG board only come out in 2015, and prior to that you needed the cable? The seller of this particular JB4 on eBay's says it's not EWG as it is from 2013.

I believe you are correct. I ordered the newest JB4 a couple months ago so it is the latest board. Since I haven't owned the previous version I can't speak on it. You could simply email Burger Motorsports ---> http://www.burgertuning.com/contact.html

you need the JB4 EWG, we carry the newest version which does not require any wire splicing and OBD connection. It also comes with the upgraded waterproof enclosure free of charge and free shipping

Thanks Mike, there are SOOO many used ones (albeit not yet exactly what I need) for a fraction of the cost on eBay, so I'll try and recycle prior to buying new, but if it comes to that I'll let you know.

Keep in mind that you void your Burger Tuning warranty when buying a used one + risk connecting a water damaged JB4 to your ECU

Of course most are fine, i just recommend that if you decide to get a used one make sure the buyer is someone trust worthy (maybe a forum member). Not a random Ebay seller
