Also reading other threads on here, it seems that the kick down on sports auto is quicker and more aggressive, and manual sport mode has slightly different behaviour (I have it now and the kick down is great) Some say the steptronic is muddier/less/smoother than sport auto which they say is jerky (better for town slow driving).... as they say the proof will be in the pudding... either way it should be fine I think, I'm not going to Nürburgring !

Looking at the configurator, the shift knob is the same between the two.

I say the software is different since when you code the car for Sport Auto it changes the way the auto gearbox behaves. It runs a different software profile. The software is already on the cars and only needs coding. Unless BMW has changed this on the G30 since they see people adding the option through only coding. We will have to wait till G30 are available for coding

Is it: a) Do all M-Sport G30's get Sports Seats by default or b) Do all G30's get Sports Seats as standard... a) is true (however this may differ in some markets, though I doubt it) b) is not true (fairly certain of that) I stand to be corrected

I'm fine with standard seats but as I understand it sports seat may be standard and standard seats that come with massage etc will be an option.
It's relevant to me as the initial cars brought in to Malaysia will be built overseas for the right hand car market i.e. We drive on the left side of the road and sit on the right side of the car. I too stand corrected. Last edited by Anxious; 01-17-2017 at 06:03 PM.. |
