Lost Power - Urgent Repost
I lost all power to the car when I very foolishly left the battery charger attached while trying to start it, especially since I had the charger set at 55 amps. Now I have no power anywhere except to the engine bay (the fan kept running while I had no power anywhere else). Now the key is stuck and still have no power after fully charging the battery. I tried disconnecting the battery for several hours. What are the chances I did something cheap, like a blown fuse on the battery's distribution box?

Get out the Volt/Ohmeter and start checking the fusible links
in the battery distribution block and do visuals and look for burnt smells. Then all the other fuses. electical e90 pdf http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...,d.cGU&cad=rja http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...85464276,d.cGU http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...85464276,d.cGU You would be more likely to get a response in the general section as this is pretty much the entertainment and stereo section. |
