PROcede v3 clarification

so ive just finished reading not even half of shiv's thread (pages and pages in less than a day...) on the new v3 and was somewhat confused.

from what i have read and understood if we are currently running v2 we can upgrade to v3 with extra wires and ect. for a small price upgrade.

but if we are not currently running v2 we can buy v3 as a PLUG AND PLAY?

and if we are going to upgrade from a v2 to a v3... do we need a laptop for the upgraded software?

v2.1 was an internal designation that was used only with beta testers. It will not exist in general When v3 is available, it can be had in either a plug-in kit (harness+PROcede) or as an inexpensive update kit for those who already have a v1 or v2 PROcede. This update kit consists of a few additional wire looms and an o2 sim harness. Functionally, it is 100% identical to the plug-in version.

We will eventually offer the plug-in harness as an a la carte item. But this can only happen once we get further along into the manufacturing cycle.

I hope this clears things up

Ok, then I want my v3 (v2.1 with the extra few wire thingy)!!!!! Thanks for the clarification; we've been getting a lot of differing interpretations as to what you will be offering in v3. I think I'll start off clean with the PnP v3 when I get another 335i in ~ 12 months!!!

Shiv,

I'm sure you may have this in the works. I was wondering if you can possibly explain in somewhat simple terms:

1) High level improvements/benefits V3 has over V2.x on a stock 335i
2) Which Mods (DPs, Exhaust, Intakes - CAI, HVI, FMIC....etc) take further advantage which improvements, and if possible how.

I think this would help some of us understand a bit more of what is being offered in V3 and how we can mod to make the most of V3.

Thanks,

Marc

I'm not Shiv... but be patient. You guys will be really impressed over what is coming.

FYi, my car has nothing but the PROcede V3. It's probably down 40-50whp on Shiv's car with downpipes, a catback exhaust, and cone intakes.
