Sport seats retrofit- wiring question
Hello,
i am in the process of retrofitting BMW sport seats in my 07 335i. The donor seats are from an 09 328i. My 07 seats have everything but bolsters, the 09 seats have bolsters. as i understand I need to make a connection from pin 9 to pin 7 on the harness to get the bolsters working? also what is this?

On Lci seats there was a headrest restraint system which I think is what that connector is. I fitted LCI Msports to my Pre Lci but bolsters do not work, interested to know what I need to do to.

bolsters require power and ground circuits

What year is your car and what year are your new seats? Most importantly are they pre 3/07 or post 3/07?

connection from pin 9 to pin 7 on the harness still accurate? based on pin diagram pin 7 on the new 09 seats are power for bolsters and lumbar. Ground matches up to pin 13, which is already in place.

I dropped in a 2008 interior into my 2011. The connector you're asking about is for the head restraint system. Just leave it disconnected but cover it up with some electrical tape.
There was an excellent guide on here with the pinouts. The driver seat and passenger seat are different so make sure to check your work and compare it with the guides. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...=480313&page=2 Its a lot of reading but most of the info is in there |
