G30 M sport Order
Quick test drive on Friday and the deal was done. Currently driving a 4 series GC 420d, the interior quality of G30 is just such a beautiful place to be.
Quick spec. 20d White, with 19" black alloys Folding door mirrors Power boot lid Sun protection glass Split folding rear seats 5 year service pack Pearl Interior finish Daytona black with blue stitching Interactive display key Hoping to get the car by 1st April to avoid the increase road tax. |

The GC feels a lot lighter, but rides very low to the ground and can't be quite firm at times. The build of the G30 is way above the GC, the GC is a nice car and I will miss its looks and handling.

Ok good thought so , still wonder whether to add it now, it's £399 I think for three years. Not sure if anyone knows what the service costs are yet for the g30 though.

Service plan down to 3 years now?
Guess that ties in with the maority of leases but the current 5 year I have on the F10 in the UK , was I think good value. (perhaps too much good value which is why they've stoppped it!) I thought the oil interval had changed from 2 years to a lesser time recently? guess not. |

Im looking at the 430d as a replacement to my f10/530d, though still sat on the fence to go of the 435d, how do you find the 430d, its a much lighter car than the 5 so i assume even the same 258bhp it will be much quicker than the 5

I think the 430d is a super car. I don't have adaptive but it corners very predictably and quickly.
The pace when you want it is awesome but it'll do 43 mpg all day long if you take it handy. As the original poster said the suspension can be unforgiving but never truly uncomfortable and it's a little low if your back is suspect getting in and out. My kids are getting taller and rear seat belts are a bit tight for booster seats but for a smaller family its fine. I guess the interior could be better its not 100% in all areas but I guess a leather dash would help a lot. I love how it looks so might try and squeeze another year before I'm forced to size up.. |

Yes this is true and my main gripe, i would have liked to spec the leather dash option on the 4 series to compensate, issue is that the pre lci spec changeable cars have all been sold and i cant stomach paying £500 road tax ordering an LCI variant which will be delivered after 1st April. The leather dash from memory is not that expensive, there are very few none ma cars with this option fitted from what i can see. Oh well !! |
