Logic 7 wiring question
I know they're not really thought very highly of, but I really wanted to be able to have a few Android apps on my car's head unit so I picked up one of those Eonon units and ran into a problem. I have the audio part with the MOST connection taken care of, but the harness connector that came with my head unit doesnt fit the connector in the dash.
I was wondering if there were any kind of pin diagrams for the connector in the dash, or better still, some kind of connector that will give me wires on the other side which I can connect to the head unit's harness. The head unit includes a diagram of what each pin on their connector does, and it looks like the main thing I want is the two canbus pins so I can get steering wheel button controls. It would be nice to be able to pull power from the harness in the dash too but I can go to the fusebox or something if necessary. The only other thing is the aux input from the center console would be nice but I could live without it. Edit: forgot go mention my car is a 2007 335i if that makes a difference. The only Head Unit that will interface with the Logic 7 amp is the Dynavin N6 . They are the only one making an analog to most adapter and the only head unit that will work with a logic 7 system

I think you misunderstand my question. I'm not asking about an audio question or sending something to the logic 7 amp, I'm asking more about where to find the pins on the connector for canbus and power and perhaps the aux input.

View post on imgur.com (Sorry, can't seem to figure out how to put images in my post. The button doesn't do anything when I press it.) Do any of the pins on this thing give me access to power, canbus, and aux? I looked through some of the links and saw a pin diagram for the hifi connector which isn't the one I have, and some stuff about speakers coming off of the logic 7, but I can't quite find the specific info I'm looking for. It's possible I missed something on one of your links though. Is there just no access to those things on this connector? |

You said you have L7 but the connectors at the back of the radio
or idrive should be the same for any car base system , Hi Fi or L7. As far as the factory harness that runs to the trunk I don't know if it has analog signals running to the trunk or speakers in the case of the base system. Most of the aftermarket systems that are Dynavin clones warn you that they are not compatible with L7. Dynavin explains why at least. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=319976 The metra harness above has the same pinout as the factory harness and the one you show. There is no aux at the back of the radio . It comes from a unit buried under the rear trunk floor called the tcu or mulf or combox. Last edited by ctuna; 02-14-2017 at 04:11 PM.. |
