AH3 Lowering Springs
So I was looking to lower my AH3 with springs. I currently have the Adaptive M suspension.
I'm from Europe and Eibach is pretty popular here so I wanted to order these. Here is the catalog: http://eibach.com/sites/eibach.com.m...uktkatalog.pdf I first checked the F30 335I springs: Art E10-20-031-02-22 Front -35mm Rear -40mm AH3 springs: Art E10-20-031-05-22 Front -35mm Rear -25mm I assume this has something to do with the Battery AH3's trunk? Has anyone lowered his AH3 before? I would like to see how it looks like, because -40 and -25 sounds like a massive difference. Lancelot franzzz Last edited by frackje; 02-15-2017 at 04:44 PM.. |

Looks like our rear spring doesn't have a part number...

Frackje, check out my post, link below, if you have not seen it. My car does not have adaptive suspension but should be the same if lowered with the same springs.

I just lowered mine with a coilover kit, I think we lowered about 20-25mm front & rear, and that may be a little bit too much on the rear.
Coming from M adaptive suspension which is 10mm lower than standard. Will try to post pictures tonight

I also have the adaptive, they don't mention it anywhere. Are you sure the adaptive suspension is 10mm lower? Last edited by frackje; 02-20-2017 at 11:20 AM.. |

By the way, that's the only website in the U.S., outside of eBay, I can find these springs. Seems to be a purely European only product from what I can tell. |

frackje, it's been a few months since you had your Eibach springs installed. What is your overall impression on the change in handling?
Also, an issue I seem to have is the rear of the car feels soft when traveling over undulations. It feels a little like I'm driving an old Cadillac for a few seconds. Did you have that issue prior to installing the springs and if so, was it corrected? I may put a set of Bilsteins in the rear to help fix it. Thanks. |
