Hardwiring BEL STi in an M3

My top console pieces popped right off on my 535i but it isnt looking so easy on my M. Any suggestions where to pop the pieces off to get to the wiring underneath the sunroof switch?

Sorry for the addtl bump but I have tried to follow both DIY's that involve tapping into the sunroof switch. I cant for the life of me get the plastic panel down to get to the wiring. I got the white plastic cover off but there is still the actual mirrored piece of plastic left. I even dug behind the headliner hoping that trying to find the clips from that way would be easier...I felt nothing that resembled a clip. Any other suggestions?
