AH3 BBK?

Any options for bigger brakes on the AH3? I have a good feeling the answer is no being that is has a regenerative braking system.

I'll let you know for sure this week when my rotors come in. I think it should be fine with just the rotors and calipers, as the stock rotors and caliper part numbers are listed for multiple cars:

As far as I'm aware, the only change the hybrid really adds is the torque converter and the battery (http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=24_1354). The regeneration happens in the electric motor:

"This is really what the regen mode is all about. With the electronic throttle closed and the vehicle still moving, all of its kinetic energy can be captured to both slow the vehicle and recharge its battery. As the onboard computer signals the battery to stop sending electricity (via the controller relay) and start receiving it (through a charge controller), the M/G simultaneously stops receiving electricity for powering the vehicle and starts sending current back to the battery for charging."

Yeah, even the BMW retrofit is listed for the AH3, so really anything that fits the F30 in general should work: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=03_0108

I added Brembo GT BBK and rotors to mine this past week.

Nice! How's the braking feel?

OEM 437m wheels.

Honestly, mushy - or not what I expected. I think I need to wait for everything to set properly or code for bigger rotors.

'Mushy' makes me think of two things
- Brake bleeding not done by the book: IIRC there is an ISTA procedure whereby bleeding is done with assistance of the ABS pump, if not done this way it can feel mushy, I've read several threads on the topic here
One here for instance, mentions DIY but I think many independent shops are also not applying this procedure.
http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1318401

- Coding: perhaps coding for M performance brakes can improve by telling the ABS that a bigger brake system is present, although that won't match exactly I guess it could be something.

They claim they were bleed twice.

No idea if by the book.
