questions about JB4 installation/usage
Hi, I installed my new JB4 and Bluetooth kit today, and I have some questions concerning its usage.
I followed the installation guide, doing this: 1) Disconnected the battery. Removed the TMAP sensor, plugged the JB4 into it and the JB4 into the engine. 2) Removed MAP sensor, plugged the JB4 into it and the factory harness. 3) Ignored the OBDII and CANbus wires because the Bluetooth makes them redundant...right? 4) Installed the Bluetooth kit into the JB4, plugged the red wire into the JB4's red wire. Reconnected the battery. Here's my problem. When I connect the app and select Map1, everything is fine, but when I actually run the engine and drive, the logging and dials show no engine activity, even though I'm driving and everything seems to be operating normally. Also, I'm not sure if I feel a difference in the performance, so I'm not entirely sure if the JB4 is actually working or not. Advice? Here are some logs: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8...3BRRkhGajhWR28 https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8...UVnZi00UWpfSnc Thanks! |

Might want to check this thread, may provide some related insight, though it is for N55.

Thanks Mike. So I still need to install the OBDII through the firewall, even though I already have the Bluetooth connected? Doesn't it just allow control of the JB4 through the steering wheel, which the Bluetooth module already doesthrough phone?

Without the OBDII attached the JB4 will revert to a map similar to the B58 JB+, fixed 4psi boost across the board. Mike |
