How many of you are using a dual-cone intake setup?

So how many of you guys are running dual-cone filters? Everyone seems to like the BMS filter... I assume dual cone filters have a bigger total surface area and would be even better. Could someone enlighten me as to why this isn't used more often?

I have dual cone...I accidently bought the wrong filters and ended getting huge cone filters....

Performance wise, the throttle response is better and the sound is amazing.

Overall I think theyre great

I've got them as well. I'm not even sure I'm supposed to "officially" have it listed in my sig, but what the hell.

Dustin actually intalled mine during a procede install day at my house last month. I love the sound....not to loud, but loud enough to here at low gears. Performance wise I'm not sure if I'm really getting much, but I'm sure I'm getting a little something. They look cool too....although I obviously don't have my hood open very often

Is this BMS filter a drop in or CAI filter? Either way, I heard nothing but good stuff about it and am curious as to the best place to get one?

The BMS filter kit is a cylinder shaped filter with two inlets. It costs $119 and you can get it at www.burgertuning.com

IMHO, I think the BMS filter sounds better than the dual cone setup, and WAYYY better than any drop-in filter.

Corrected Logic is not a true CAI...The best CAI for the 335i is the UR CAI if your speaking in terms of COLD AIR INTAKE....If you say one of the better intakes out there is the Logics, than I would agree!!

That's total BS. And yes, I DID the math.

Actually I didn't but you don't actually need to.

BMS 3.5 x 10

Dual cone 5.5 x 10 + inverted cone section which is a 5.25 radius base cone with a 2 inch height.

Sadly, they are not offering one, bigger fish to fry at the moment. Seriously contemplating going to the dark side w BMS.

I ripped the dual cones out after my car was crapping out at a track event with them. (too hot) Replaced it with the UR and problem solved.

You should mix and match. Another member has the BMS filter kit with V3 and he has great results...
