Hiya. I haven't specced this yet - is it worth it? Any info on what it gives?

I have based on my believe that if you don't have it then the remote apps will not work.

Not sure though, but for £60 I wasn't going to gamble on missing it

I have it and love the feature that I can send my navigation settings of my next appointment to my car from the phone..,

I haven't added it yet. It can be purchased after delivery.
My G30 remote app I can still send locations to the car.
I can use the display key to check the status of door locks, windows, alarm, check car location. Although I think location and status is just "last known". So wouldn't give you a live update.

The things I can't do with the app or display key is change the status. Ie lock the car, flash lights etc.

Since I never did any of that on my last car with connected I haven't yet paid the £60.
I definitely did send places to the car. But as said you don't need to pay the £60 to do that.

Am considering it though for the live locate vehicle, just incase.

Thanks that's useful. I think I'll add it. My brother had his F11 stolen and randomly saw it pop up on his app when he was close enough once. Alerted the police and they recovered the car...

I agree partly with what others have said.

I think I won't need it it /get it... this is why:-

- I can send routes/destinations using the Connected Drive App for free
- The heating/cooling preset, only usful if you have the auxilliary heating option... cooling seems to just circulate ambient air... and I can set this using the climate settings
- Connected Drive app already tells me the range and car parameters
- I can locate my car using that app too...

Interesting. But then when spending £55k on a car what's £60 here and there?

Good observation.. Partly because it's a company car, however mostly because there's no real value add.. And it's 4 crates of beer 😠
