Wash and waxing your M2

I wanted to start a thread to hear people's washing and waxing routine. What are your favorite products and process.

I washed and waxed mine two weeks ago when we had that warm snap, has been sitting in the garage ever since, I don't want to get it dirty LOL.

There is a separate section that you should post this question to that is devoted to car care. A professional detailer submits suggestions etc.

I would think it would be nice to know if there are any particulars benefits to how people wash the M2 versus other vehicles. Things like, where the water pools up or gets stuck behind the license plates, etc.

I feel I'm not good at washing, would love any hints.
I always have trouble with water stuck inside a few places, that comes out later in movement and dirties up the body.
Major point of pain seem to be the external mirrors. License plates also tend to be nasty.
Any particular trick? Do you use air blowers?

I use a blower or my air compressor (with filters and dryer) to get water out of crevices. Buy some Kenotek detailer for touching up any problems and keeping clean between washes.

I wash & dry the car 1st then wash and dry the wheels individually to minimize rotor rust. Just use low water pressure and re-dry the fenders if/when they get splashed.
