Arrow M Performance Tips with stock muffler

A friend just bought an M140i and he wants to install the M Performance Tips to the stock muffler.

Does anyone know if he can fit those tips with the stock muffler removing the black oem tips ?

I think the MP pipes are larger diameter, so the tips are designed for that diameter, not stock.
He could use these:
http://www.burgertuning.com/exhaust_tips_for_BMW.html
The black, angle cut look great on my stock pipes, w/ the MP Diffuser!

Do you mean the M240i? I have the M Performance Chrome tips on my stock muffler. It requires adapters to fit them on. BMW calls them Exhaust pipe finisher adapters: http://www.motorwerksbmwaccessorieso...NISHER-ADAPTER

Do you have more pictures of the tips? I also have the M performance diffuser and i am concerned the BMS tips won't stick out far enough.

Here's another, from the side.
The BMS tips stick out about 1/2in. more than the stock tips.

Just curious, should those be sticking out more? Looks great though. Is that OEM rear diffuser? If you don't mind my asking, what did you pay for the diffuser and did you install it yourself?

It is the M Performance Diffuser and I installed it myself. It's easy. I think I paid about 380USD.
I don't like the look of pipes sticking out of the diffuser. I like when they are flush. These sit just inside; close enough.

Those tips would look fine on the OEM diffuser, right? I also have a Black M240 thinking of getting the BMS tips.

I have the exact same question about tips - I love the ones I got with the car and the price of the black tips for the M performance exhaust are way too much

It should work since stock tips fit the MPE. The MPE pipes are longer than stock I believe so the tips will just stick out further. You could cut back the pipes to taste. I have an MPE waiting for my car to arrive, I'm actually putting on stock chrome tips from a 340i, they fit and I'll just cut back the pipes for a flush fit.

The M Performance Exhaust with resonator delete or non resonated midpipe it's the best setup ever for the M240i !!! The car sounds amazing !!

I asked Jason from BMS if i could install their tips with the MPE and he said it wasn't possible

It will work but it won't be a tight fit.

Just thought I'd share my MPE with stock tips/diffuser install experience.
Installed the MPE on my M240xi today. Had to cut the stock exhaust out, that was it. OEM chrome double wall tips installed and lines up perfectly with the stock diffuser, just like the stock exhaust. Tips are tight and secure. It turned out exactly how I wanted.
