Poor Quality of Service

Hi everyone - I was wondering how many of you have had painful dealer exeriences while have your car serviced.

On Feb 14 I took my car in for an oil change as well as to have my spoiler fixed since it was starting to come up.

I get my car back with a couple small gouges out of the trunk lid all the way down to the metal, they then take it right away (after an 11 day wait to get the spoiler fixed) to the body shop.

I'm so happy to have my car back that I go to wash, wax and seal it when I notice a sizeable scuff of the rear bumper which I tried to buff out to no avail.

It's really frustrating to see that whoever was working on my car, or even around it for that matter, was extremely careless. Since I picked my car up at the end of the day the service department was closed and now I am waiting for my SA to get back to me.

What a pain in the ass...

Thats really unfortunate and sad to hear. I cant imagine going through this. Makes me frustrated just reading about it.

Sorry to hear this, sadly it's up the integrity of the Dealer at this point. They either own it and take care of you or they balk and things maybe get ugly. Going to be hard to "prove" they did it if it should come to that. Makes me understand that the casual walk around I always do before accepting my car back from service is NOT good enough. Best of luck to you, I sure hope they make it right!

edit: If things do get ugly don't forget the Ombudsman at BMW CCA, situations like this are why they exist. #515344
