155mph limit

Is it possible to remove the limit just through coding?

Just a random thought that occurred to me - surely the actual limit is only an electronically controlled one, so can you remove it without throwing the engine into meltdown?

Sorry if this has been asked and answered, it's a slow Sunday!

In theory (and I'm yet to find truth to this) you can code the v-max limit in the first 10 hours of the cars running life.

Alternatively, I've only seen it be done through ECU flash.

Piggybacks should be able to do it too by fooling the speed sensor.

Why in the first 10 hours?

2011 335d is an E-series, will work for you!

Ideally there are three options to increase top speed limiter:

1) Theoretical unlock before 10 hour of car lifetime. I know that some guys on this and on the f80 forum have attempted to change it through eSys without success. 0$

2) M-Driver Package Code (20 km Increase to 270 km top speed) but the code is complementary to the expensive track day event. No one has successfully been able to get the code without the package (to the best of my knowledge). 2500$

3) ECU Flash through tune e.g. bm3, evolve, Manhart (the last claiming to be immune to system updates) 400-1000$ (+ Obvious Warranty Loss)

And keep in mind that car permanently keeps top speed attained in multiple locations.
