Z4M Performance Shocks???

Hey Guys,

Am in a lucky streak as of late. . . I just found a brand new set of Eibach Springs for my Z4M from Eibach USA. . they told me this is the only set in the country that they have brought from Germany.

Now I am contemplating in obtaining performace shocks as well to go w/ the springs.

what shocks are available for the Z4M? How they compare?

Thanks!

I cant speak for the Z4M, but I recently had a set of yellow Konis installed onto my 03 Z4, and I have to say both the overall ride quality and handling has improved tremendously. I had oem shocks on eibachs for 2 years, and the ride quality started to become really harsh. Go for the Konis if available or for a coilover setup.

I had Koni Yellows in my Audi A4 and they were great. . . I looked around and it seems Koni doesn't offer for Z4M Coupe. . . Thanks for your feedback bud.

Anybody else have info???

No aftermarket shocks are available for the Z4M yet. It's either coilovers (TCKline, KW V3), or lower springs + stock shocks.

Where can you by Eibach springs for the Z4M? Just seen them to the non-M's?! Anyone compared these to the H&Rs?

Eibach Springs are not available in the U.S. only in Europe. You can however contact Eibach U.S. and special order them. . . I'll take 2-3 month or paid 200-300 dollars in ams shipping.

I just happen to get lucky and grab the only set they brought to the states. Once I install them next weekend I'll write a review.

Please see below Specs for your reference:

You can use the TC Kline shocks with the Eibach springs. It involves re-using the lower spring perch from the original shock on the TC Kline shock. Call them and they'll explain how it works. On the rear, it is not a true coil over arrangement in any case and you can use any shock you want.

Koni are quite expensive, and if you gone fit H&R springs on them, why not go for the H&R coilover at almost same price?

In addition to Palantirion's question, would'nt using a different shock front to rear also affect the behaviour of the car?

While you can get the KW Variant 3 kit for the Z4M, it still is just a street set-up at heart. With KW you can also get a Clubsport, 2way and 3way Race setup as well. I've ordered a 2-way race setup and will toss my TCKline suspension in the garbage. You can call KW here in Germany directly and they will build you a suspension. PM me if you're interested and I can put you in contact with an English speaking guy here in Germany at KW automotive.

Well if you're gonna toss the TCK coilovers in the garbage, might as ship them to me. I'll pay shipping too.

I'm really surprised you don't like the kit though. What springs rates have you run?
