UP Wheels?

Opinions? I knew they are low price but I just bent a Miro 112 and apparently, finding a single replacement is proving difficult. Shifting to a set of wheels that work and are inexpensive enough to replace if I bend another one (took me two years to bend this one... ) is looking like an option. Thx!

So you didn't learn from buying cheap quality wheels the first time around and want to do the dance again? Lol.

That's one way of looking at it...another is that it is a lot less painful when you bend and replace a $250 wheel than an $800 wheel. They bend too.

they bend too but with a lot more force. plus really wheels might bend while fake wheels will crack and explode .

I think if I am hitting something that hard, there are other issues(and I haven't heard too much about exploding wheels, but, I suppose it can happen in the low probability end of the spectrum for pothole strikes)....and calling reps "fake" is a bit prejudicial, don't you think? There's a quality spectrum for reps also. Anyway, got it repaired locally. Looks like new. Even if I have to do this type of repair once a year, it'd still be 10 years before I matched the cost of a $4000 set of forged wheels. Are forged wheels stronger? Of course they are. Are they that much better to justify the cost? Not in my book, but to each his or her own...

Good quality wheels bend, bad quality wheels crack. I know which I'd rather have happen whilst travelling at motorway speeds.

Forged wheels are stronger and lighter, and most importantly are properly designed and tested, unlike a lot of fakes and replicas.

It wasn't pointless. The rim being repairable was still in doubt when I posted a simple question about a particular wheel brand.

Thanks for your interest in our wheels. You are right, we've seen factory wheels, forged, and cast wheels bend and crack. Wheels are designed to absorb the impact, so the force is not transferred to your vehicle.

We have thousands of satisfied customers with all different types of vehicles. From Mercedes Benz to Volkswagens.

We are factory direct and wholesale to public. No middle man, and that's how we're able to offer sets at a great price.

Need a replacement wheel? No problem, no hesitations. As long as you're a previous customer and wheels are good in stock, we'll get you one. No break up fee for single replacements.

Feel free to call in for more information. You can ask for Gary, and i'll make sure we get you a sweet deal.

Best regards

As far as all the trolls go, lol, they are a good set of rims. Looking at them up close you can't tell they're cheaper priced rims. If one breaks then I'll just easily get a new one like the UP rep said. No big deal. I'm not tracking the car and we're not on the autobahn, no point for crazy over priced expensive wheels. These work, they look clean, and fit just right.

You say if one breaks like it's no big deal, but personally I'd rather not fit a wheel that I had that attitude about, or anything vital for safety.

Yeah sure but I highly doubt a rim will break lol. When I say if one breaks and it's no big deal I mean they're cheap to replace so it's not a big deal. It's not like these rims are made by 12 year old kid in a basement. It's a legit company which I'm sure has quality control. No need to keep going and going about it.
