Why does the size of the Brake Rotor matter in Coding?

Simple question.

Why does Brake Rotor size matter in coding?

While bigger may always be better, what actual difference could it possibly make in the coding?

Over a day and no response.

Best guess an European Performance shop gave me, which makes the best guess. / sense at this point is it might deal with how the ABS System works.

That's only a guess, but better than anything else I have heard - or that anyone has come up with for that matter.

It could be used a few ways: to calculate brake torque, heat capacity/fade resistance, and may well be used to alter the hydraulic ratios in the ABS controller, which can effect pedal feel. At some point I want to try changing a bunch of the brake related coding to see what effect it may have, especially on brake feel and perceived performance.
